Clean start

I’m the suckiest blogger ever. Actually, in the future I’ll be a really good blogger because I’ll have a microchip in my brain and I’ll be able to send my thoughts directly to my blog. Because I think about blogging nearly everday. However, a little slack on the follow-through.

My boys are taking a bath and I just walked in there and something about the bottles of shampoo on the edge of the tub and the way the late day light moves through our little bathroom that made my heart clench up. My boys have been driving me nuts. Really through no fault of theirs, I’ve been short tempered and crappy. But for a quick moment I reeled into the joy that I own. These two little boys smiling and laughing at me. As Jaya would say, HUGE. Huge is this life in the small moments.

Of course, most of the time I forget about these moments and dwell on the dull and tedious day-to-day nothings. Hopefully that microchip will not only allow for long-distance journaling. Hopefully it will also give me the constant stream of perspective I am often in need of.
