Shooting Star

This morning Mordecai came running to me very distressed and nearly in tears crying "Mama, I can't do my moves!" urging me to follow him to our spare room where he had turned on the stereo. I told him I didn't understand what the problem was. He repeated his urgent concern "I can't do my moves!" and proceeded to do a little dance and then straddle with arms upraised in a kind of Tai Kwan Do position from which he threw himself onto the ground with a dramatic moan and squeal. After I told him it looked like a fabulous move to me he happily picked himself up and continued his spontaneous and bizarre dance routine. He is beyond doubt a natural performer and has now developed the dramatic flair necessary to be a real star. Speaking of, last week he had a dance performance for his 'Baby Boogie' class where he stole the show in a similar creative fit. I think I'll post a photo of him in costume just for fun.
