Fall fell today. Can you feel it? I did. I admit, it was still as hot as hell. But there was something when we woke up this morning. Something that made Mordecai and I agree that a big bowl of oatmeal was just what we needed to kick off the day. Maybe it started because yesterday at the grocery store Cai insisted we buy a pumpkin. Maybe it's because we've been having lengthy Halloween discussions - basking in the excitement to come: candy, sparkly dragon costumes, candy, trick or treating, candy, staying out past dark and the delight of choosing the silliest baby costume imaginable for Lo. Ok, I admit, Autumn doesn't officially begin for a week or so. But today I felt it's presence. Today I felt the season change, regardless of what the calender says.
