Summertime
We spent yesterday at our annual family picnic. A gathering of my father's side of the family - they are these really joyful people who happen to love kids and babies, so we were a hit. Solomon was immediately pulled from my arms, wrapped in a cousin's sarong (we were by the sea and the breeze was cool, but lovely), and passed around from admiring cousin to kissing auntie all day long. Cai on the other hand had a ball with his cousins. He's the youngest of a gang of about a dozen and they cater to him like crazy. He just loves the attention and especially the 'big' girls who carry him around and let him crawl all over them. I'll post a couple of pictures to commemorate the day - it was really one of those wonderful kid days that I remember having long ago. I hope these two have many more of them that they will someday recall. God I'm mushy lately. Oh, screw it. I'm a mama, what did you expect? :)
